Marseille and Lorient agree on Bamo Meïté and Isaak Touré swap deal

According to RMC SportMarseille and Lorient have both agreed on a swap deal which will see Bamo Meïté and Isaak Touré exchange clubs before the close of the transfer window. Upon the completion of the deal, Bamo Meïté should join Marseille and Isaak Touré should join Lorient.

With both clubs happy to conclude the transfer as a straight swap and no transfer fees involved, both of the respective players will sign 5-year contracts at their new clubs. Isaak Touré is relatively new at Marseille having only made a permanent move from Le Havre in June last year. The centre-back spent the second half of last season on loan at Auxerre and went on to make 20 appearances for the club. Burnley have previously shown interest in the Frenchman this window.

Bamo Meïté impressed for Lorient last season, making 17 appearances in his first season of top-flight professional football. Lorient signed the defender from Stade Lavallois in 2020 on a free transfer and he could now be playing in Europe with OM next season.
