Marseille supporters banned from PSG fixture

According to L’Équipe, there will be no Marseille supporters present for the first Le Classique meeting of the season between PSG and OM at the Parc des Princes. This isn’t the first time that supporters of Les Phocéens have been banned from the fixture with the same ban in place last season

The meeting between PSG and OM will take place at the Parc des Princes on the 24th of September. Travelling supporters of Marseille have been absent at the meeting since 2018. The same rule usually applies to travelling supporters of Les Parisiens, with them banned from attending the reverse fixture at the Stade Vélodrome.

The intense rivalry between the two giants of French football prevents away fans from travelling to prevent any potential conflicts from occurring. The Minister of the Interior plans to introduce a ban which will ban OM fans from entering the Parc des Princes and the stadium’s surroundings on the day of the fixture.
