Galatasaray discussing Sacha Boey contract extension amidst Premier League interest

RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins is reporting that Galatasaray are trying to extend Sacha Boey’s (23) contract. The Frenchman is attracting interest from Premier League and Bundesliga sides.

Boey joined the Turkish side from Stade Rennais for just over €1m in the summer of 2021, signing a contract that runs until the summer of 2025. The France youth international has thrived at Galatasaray, especially this season. Boey’s form has put his name in the conversation for a France call-up, especially given Didier Deschamps’ difficulty in setting on a preferred option at right-back.

The Galatasaray defender reportedly attracted interest from Burnley last summer, and as reported by Hawkins, Premier League and Bundesliga clubs are monitoring his situation. Galatasaray are therefore attempting to extend Boey’s contract by one year, to the summer of 2026. Whilst Boey likes the club and is considering an extension, the two camps’ positions are currently far apart.
