Goalkeeper Guillaume Restes set to extend Toulouse contract until 2028

According to L’Équipe, Toulouse are expecting to reward Guillaume Restes (18) with a new two-year contract, after becoming TFC’s number one between the sticks this season. Since the beginning of the season, Restes has featured on 13 occasions for Carles Martínez Novell’s side after being promoted to the top goalkeeping spot. The Frenchman has also been called up regularly by Thierry Henry to feature for France’s U21 side.

New deal for Restes, Toulouse’s revelation this season

Following this rise in status for the young goalkeeper, Toulouse’s management have decided to negotiate a new deal for Restes – having signed professionally for the club in 2021. Les Violets expect the 18-year-old to sign an improved contract in the coming days which will run until 2028.

Restes broke through after Maxime Dupé (28) left the club to join Anderlecht in Belgium in the summer. The youngster, who rose through Toulouse’s youth ranks, has kept two shutouts so far this season, conceding 13 goals in 900 minutes.
