Rennes predicted XI v Villarreal: Martin Terrier and Enzo Le Fée to make the bench

Martin Terrier could make his long-awaited return against Villarreal on Thursday, however, if he is to do so, he’ll likely have to come off the bench.

Terrier suffered an ACL injury against OGC Nice on 2nd January. The injury necessitated surgery, and he hasn’t featured since. Nine months later and he is back in contention. It had been thought that he could feature against FC Nantes in the Breton derby at the weekend, however, he missed the match due to illness. There is a good chance that he will play a bit-part role in Rennes’ Europa League tie against Villarreal, however.

He will likely be joined by Enzo Le Fée on the bench, the former FC Lorient midfielder has recovered from the elbow injury that he sustained against Montpellier.

Rennes likely lineup v Villarreal

Steve Mandanda; Adrien Truffert, Arthur Theate, Warmed Omari, Guéla Doué; Désiré Doué, Nemanja Matic, Benjamin Bourigeauad; Amine Gouiri, Arnaud Kalimuendo, Ludovic Blas. (L’Éq)
