Ligue 1 strugglers Troyes have announced the signing of experienced centre-back Sylvain Monsoreau in what is believed to be a deal until June 2014.

The 31 year old was a free agent after being released by Saint-Etienne at the end of last season. The Frenchman has a host of Ligue 1 experience which spans over 13 years. He has ha d spells at Sochaux, Monaco and Lyon.
Troyes are currently beset with injury problems especially in defence and have managed just one win so far this season. While the signing of Monsoreau is a step in the right direction for ESTAC, we doubt he will single-handedly solve their ever-growing problems.
