Official | Mauro Icardi leaves PSG for Galatasaray

PSG have announced tonight that Mauro Icardi has left the club on a permanent basis, having re-joined Galarasaray after a successful loan spell with the Turkish giants last season.

The Ligue 1 champions have reportedly agreed to sell the striker for €10m – five times less than the fee paid out to Inter to make his initial loan deal permanent back in 2020.

Icardi showed promise in his first year in the French capital, having scored 20 goals in all competitions – however, he was largely unable to replicate his Serie A form beyond that, and was later in the shadow of he Lionel Messi-Neymar-Kylian Mbappé attacking trident.

While on loan in Istanbul this past campaign, the 30-year-old Icardi scored 23 goals in 26 appearances in all competitions, firing the team to the Süper Lig title. During his three seasons at PSG, the Argentine scored 38 goals in just under a century of appearances, winning the league title twice.
