Lens predicted XI v Arsenal: Elye Wahi to start, Angelo Fulgini to drop to bench

According to L’Équipe, Angelo Fulgini looks set to drop to the bench when RC Lens host Arsenal at the Stade Bollaert on Tuesday night.

Fulgini got the equaliser during Lens’ draw against Sevilla a fortnight ago, but he now looks set to cede his place to Adrien Thomasson. Meanwhile, Nampalys Mendy, who has a somewhat more defensive profile, is set to be preferred to Andy Diouf in midfield. The former Leicester City man adds an extra level of defensive solidity alongside Salis Abdul Samed. Elye Wahi, who got his first goal for Lens at the weekend, looks set to lead the line.

Franck Haise has an almost full squad to pick from, but he is without Massadio Haïdara and David Pereira da Costa, both of whom are recovering from injuries.

Lens likely XI v Arsenal

Brice Samba; Facundo Medina, Kevin Danso, Jonathan Gradit; Deiver Machado, Nampalys Mendy, Salis Abdul Samed, Przemyslaw Frankowski; Adrien Thomasson, Elye Wahi, Florian Sotoca. (L’Éq)
