Manchester United retain interest in OGC Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo

Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Manchester United retain an interest in OGC Nice centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo (23).

The former Barcelona defender, who recently made his debut for the France national team, was of interest to Manchester United last summer. Todibo, as well as Benjamin Pavard, who ultimately joined Inter Milan, was linked with a move to Old Trafford, however, that move was contingent upon Harry Maguire’s departure. With Maguire remaining at Manchester United, Todibo did not join.

However, the Premier League side are still considering investing in a new top-level centre-back. Recruitment in this sector of the pitch is still being discussed internally, and Manchester United’s interest in Todibo could be re-ignited, either in January or in the summer.

Todibo’s arrival is still seemingly linked to Maguire’s future. Edmond Tapsoba and Antonio Silva are other names that also feature on the Red Devils’ list of potential targets going into 2024.
