PSG preparing for another busy transfer window

Following considerable spending in the summer transfer window, Paris Saint-Germain are preparing for further recruitment in January, with the club also looking to offload some of their more peripheral figures, as reported by Le Parisien

Randal Kolo Muani, Manuel Ugarte, Ousmane Dembélé, Lucas Hernández, Bradley Barcola, Kang-in Lee, Milan Skriniar, Marco Asensio, Cher Ndour and Gonçalo Ramos were amongst those brought to the Parc des Princes as PSG spent almost €350m. There were plenty of outgoings too, as PSG looked to empty their “loft.”

Lionel Messi, Neymar, Marco Verratti, Abdou Diallo, El Chadaille Bitshiabu, Mauro Icardi, Julian Draxler, Georginio Wijnalbum, Leandro Paredes, Sergio Ramos, Renato Sanches and Juan Bernat were amongst those to leave. Another busy transfer window is expected this January.

Les Parisiens are already planning for the upcoming transfer window. Due to Nuno Mendes’ injury, which will rule him out until February at the earliest, PSG are looking at bringing in a left-back on loan with an option to buy. Layvin Kurzawa, who was part of the “undesirables” but has often been included in matchday squads due to the lack of depth in this position, is one of the players that Les Parisiens are looking to offload.

Another player that could leave is Carlos Soler, who has played a peripheral role under Luis Enrique. The Spanish manager has noted a lack of creativity in the midfield and would like to add a new element in this area of the pitch, however, this will only happen in the event of Soler’s departure. As was the case in the summer, PSG will also look to sell Hugo Ekitiké, who has been frozen out since his refusal to join Eintracht Frankfurt.
