Hugo Ekitike to stay at PSG despite Crystal Palace and West Ham interest

RMC Sport report tonight that Hugo Ekitike will remain at Paris Saint-Germain this season, despite attempts by two Premier League clubs – namely West Ham and Crystal Palace – to sign the young French striker in the final moments of the summer transfer window.

As indicated by earlier reports, the Eagles had put forward a proposal consisting of a loan deal with a permanent clause. Nevertheless, the Premier League side were unable to agree on terms with the out-of-favour forward. West Ham had also approached PSG with a loan offer for Ekitike.

The possibility of a move to Eintracht Frankfurt – as a replacement for the outgoing Randal Kolo Muani – also emerged during the day, but this option was said to have turned down by the former Reims man himself. Instead, Ekitike will look to bounce back after a middling first campaign in the French capital – 4 goals in all competitions – as an option in a revamped forward line.
